Before You Pick a Floor
Can I take samples home?
Yes. Take up to five boards home for a few days. See them in your own light, next to your cabinets and your dog. Bring them back when you are done.
Do you move furniture and pull up the old floor?
Yes. Our crew moves furniture, pulls up the old floor and hauls it away. We ask you to empty closets and china cabinets before we come.
Can you put wood floors in a Michigan basement?
Not solid hardwood. Basements stay damp for part of the year and solid boards cup. Engineered wood or vinyl plank over a vapor barrier holds up much better down there.
How long before I can walk on a new floor?
Vinyl plank and carpet right away. Tile needs a day for the grout to set. Prefinished hardwood is ready when the crew leaves.
Do you measure before I buy?
Yes. We come out, measure every room and check the subfloor for free. The price you get is for your house, not a guess from a drawing.
