Could Your Health Plan Cost Less?
Check in a minute whether you may qualify for help with your premium. Then sit down with a Macon agent who explains your choices at no cost.
Sit Down With a Person Who Knows Macon
The marketplace website works. It also asks a lot of questions at once. We sit beside you, enter it together and explain each plan in plain words.
We check which doctors near you take each plan, from downtown Macon to the clinics in Warner Robins, before you pick.
Bronze to Platinum, in Plain Words
Every plan covers the same basic care. The level changes how the cost is split between your monthly premium and what you pay when you get care.
Bronze
Plan pays about 60%
Lowest monthly cost. You pay the most when you see a doctor. Fits people who rarely need care.
Silver
Plan pays about 70%
The middle choice. If your income qualifies, Silver can come with extra savings that lower your deductible.
Gold
Plan pays about 80%
Higher monthly cost, lower bills at the doctor. Fits people with regular visits or ongoing care.
Platinum
Plan pays about 90%
Highest monthly cost and the smallest bills. Not every county has one.
Percentages are averages across all members of a plan, not what any one person pays. Under 30? Ask about catastrophic plans.
When You Can Sign Up
Open enrollment happens once a year. The dates below are the usual ones, and they are confirmed each fall.
Lost job coverage, moved, married or had a baby? You may get a special enrollment window of about 60 days any time of year. Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids take applications all year too.
Middle Georgia Is Home
Our office is on Cherry Street in downtown Macon. We also meet people at libraries and churches across the area. Every dot is a town where we meet people.
What Neighbors Say
I cut hair for a living and never had insurance I could afford. Tasha sat with me for an hour and found a plan that fit.
Andre W. Macon
She checked that my son's doctor in Warner Robins took the plan before I signed. Nobody had ever done that for me.
Kayla S. Warner Robins
Called in July after I lost my job. Covered by August first, and I understood what I was paying for.

Questions We Answer Every Fall
Do you charge for your help?
No. The insurance companies pay us. The price of a plan is the same whether you enroll with us or on your own.
Is HealthCare.gov the same as Georgia Access?
They do the same job. HealthCare.gov is the public marketplace the federal government runs. Georgia now runs its own marketplace called Georgia Access, and HealthCare.gov sends Georgia shoppers there. The plans and the savings rules are the same.
What income do you count?
Your best guess of next year's household income, after business costs if you are self employed. If it changes during the year, update it. Otherwise the tax credit can be adjusted when you file your taxes.
I lost my job coverage in July. Do I have to wait until November?
No. Losing job coverage usually gives you a special enrollment window of about 60 days. A move, a new baby or getting married can open one too. Call soon so you do not miss it.
Can my kids be covered if I cannot afford a plan?
Often, yes. Georgia's PeachCare for Kids and Medicaid cover many children in lower and middle income homes. We can check before you shop for your own plan.
Book a Seat at Our Desk
Bring last year's tax return or recent pay stubs and a list of your doctors. Most visits take about 45 minutes.
Licensed in Georgia as a health insurance agent. License number shown here on the live site. Ocmulgee Coverage Help is a private agency. We are not the marketplace, HealthCare.gov, Georgia Access or any government office. You can always shop and enroll on your own at HealthCare.gov or Georgia Access.
Premium tax credits and other savings depend on your household income and size, and the plans in your county. Open enrollment dates are set each year and can change.
