What Families Say
I live in Denver. My dad passed in Mesilla. I handled all of it from my phone in one afternoon.

The price on the website was the price on the bill. Nobody tried to sell me anything.

Plain Answers
What is direct cremation?
It is cremation without a viewing or a service through us. We bring your person into our care, file the papers, and return the ashes to you. Many families hold their own gathering later, at home or somewhere that meant something.
Do we need to come into the office?
No. Most families never do. We talk by phone, you sign on your own phone or computer, and we can deliver the urn anywhere in Doña Ana County at no charge.
Can we see them before the cremation?
Yes. A short private goodbye in our family room is $150. Many families find it helps. It needs no embalming.
Where can we scatter the ashes?
On private land with the owner's permission, and on many public lands if you follow their rules. We can give you a simple scattering tube and tell you what we know about the place you have in mind.
Is the price really $1,095?
Yes, for someone who passed within 40 miles of our office. It covers the transfer, our staff, the permit and state paperwork, the cremation and a temporary urn. Death certificates are the state's fee, $5 each, and we show that line before you sign.
We serve Las Cruces, Mesilla, Doña Ana, Organ, Anthony, Chaparral, Santa Teresa and Hatch, and we travel farther for a mileage fee you see up front.
