They talked me out of the biggest unit. A 22 kW with a soft start on the AC runs the whole house fine and saved us a few thousand.

Troy L. Denham Springs

My dad is on oxygen. They got us on the schedule fast and walked him through the weekly self test.

Angela M. Zachary

Had them put in the EV charger the same week as the generator. One crew, one permit, clean work.

Generator Questions

How big of a generator do I need?

It depends on what you want running when the grid goes down. Central AC is the big one. Most Baton Rouge homes that want AC, the fridge and lights land between 18 and 26 kW. Use the sizer above for a starting point, then we check your panel and load at a free visit.

How long does a standby generator install take?

The install itself is one or two days. Permits and the gas line can add a few weeks, and wait times get longer once storms are in the Gulf. Book in winter or spring if you can.

Natural gas or propane?

If you have natural gas at the house, use it. It never runs out during a long outage. If not, we set a buried or above ground propane tank. A 500 gallon tank runs most homes for about a week.

Can you install an EV charger too?

Yes. We install Level 2 chargers in garages and driveways and check that your panel can carry the load first. If a generator is part of the plan, we set the charger so it does not pull power during an outage.

Do you service generators you did not install?

Yes. We service the major brands. A yearly checkup before June covers the oil, filters, battery and a load test, so it starts when you need it.
