The Door Is Half the Front of Your House. Make It Count.
We help lowcountry homeowners pick a door that suits the house, holds up to salt air and passes the wind code. Build yours below and see the price with install.
Build Your Door and See the Price
Pick a size, a style and a color. The drawing changes as you go, and the price includes the door, install, wind bracing and taking the old one away.
R 9 foam core. Quieter and cooler in July.
Ready in about 3 to 4 weeks. Price is a range until we measure. Free measure takes 20 minutes.
Styles That Suit Lowcountry Houses
A raised Charleston single, a new build in Carolina Park and a 1950s ranch in West Ashley all want something different. Here's what we put on each.
Modern Full View Glass
Black or bronze aluminum frames with frosted glass. Lets light into the garage and looks sharp on board and batten and metal roof homes.
Double from about $5,400 installed
Raised Panel in Color
The classic steel door, painted at the factory. Navy, charcoal and haint blue are favorites here.
Double from about $2,100 installed
Carriage House With Real Hardware
Steel doors with a wood look skin that won't rot or swell in August. Black strap hinges and pull handles are bolted through, not stuck on. It's the door we put on most homes south of Broad and on the islands.
Double from about $3,400 installed
One Crew, One Day, Clean Garage
Your crew shows up at 8 with the door on the truck. The old door comes down and leaves with us. By afternoon you are pressing the button on the new one.
- New tracks, springs and cables
- Wind bracing for your address
- Stainless rollers near the water
- New weather seal at the floor
- Remotes and car buttons set up
- Old door hauled away
Permits. We pull the permit with the city or county and meet the inspector if one is needed. You don't have to take a day off.

What Homeowners Say
We went back and forth between navy and charcoal for a week. They brought real samples out to the driveway at sunset. Navy was right.
Caroline W. Mount Pleasant
They handled the HOA sheet and the permit. Crew was done by 2 and swept the garage. The glass door changed the whole house.
Marcus J. Daniel Island
Our house is on pilings a block from the marsh. They explained the wind rating in plain words and the price matched the builder.

Before You Pick a Door
Do new doors here need to be wind rated?
In most of Charleston County, yes. Your permit office sets the wind load for your address. We order every door to meet it and include the bracing it needs. It's in the price you see.
How long from order to install?
Most steel doors arrive in two to three weeks. Full view glass and custom wood look finishes take four to six. Install day itself is about half a day for a single and most of a day for a double.
Will salt air ruin a new door?
Not if it's built for it. Near the water we use galvanized hardware, stainless rollers and a baked on finish. Rinse the door with a hose a few times a year and it will look good for a long time.
What does the R value mean?
It's how well the door slows heat. A plain steel door is close to zero. R 9 is a good fit for most garages. R 18 makes sense if the garage is a gym, a shop or has a room above it.
Do I need an HOA approval first?
Many neighborhoods in Mount Pleasant and Daniel Island ask for it. We print a spec sheet with a picture of your door and the color name, and you send it to your board. Most say yes within a couple of weeks.
