Replace Your Furnace and AC Once, and Right
We size every new HVAC system in Kansas City with a real load calc, show you three honest options, and put the full price on paper before you decide.
What Size System Does Your House Need?
Answer four quick questions. You get a starting size and a price range for each option. It takes about 30 seconds and no one will call you unless you ask.
About 80,000 BTU of heat for 1,850 square feet.
Rebates and tax credits vary by model, by year and by your home. We check what applies at the visit and show it on your quote.
Systems Built for Kansas City Weather
Humid summers, icy Januarys and a lot of old houses. Here is what we put in, and why.
Furnace and AC Together
The classic setup for a Kansas City basement. We match the furnace and AC so they work as one system, not two strangers.
- High efficiency gas furnaces up to 98%
- Central AC 14.3 to 20 SEER2
- Typical install 1 day
Heat Pumps and Dual Fuel
A heat pump cools all summer and heats on mild days. Pair it with a gas furnace and it hands off when the cold snaps hit.
- Cold climate heat pumps work to 5°F
- Dual fuel with gas backup very common here
- Typical install 1 to 2 days
Both Sides of State Line
We install across the metro, from the Northland down to Belton. A full site gives each town its own page.
Missouri Side
Kansas City, Lee's Summit, Independence, Liberty, Blue Springs, Gladstone and Raytown
Kansas Side
Overland Park, Olathe, Prairie Village, Leawood and Shawnee
What Homeowners Say
Three companies quoted us. Brookside was the only one that measured the windows and went in the attic. They said we needed a smaller unit, not a bigger one.
Karen W. Prairie Village
The quote had three columns and every price was on it. No pressure. We picked the middle one and the house has never been this even.
Marcus T. Lee's Summit
Out with the 1994 furnace and in with a heat pump in one day. They vacuumed the basement before they left.

Before You Replace
Still unsure? Call and ask for Dana. She will answer straight, even if the answer is to wait a year.
How do you size a new system for my house?
We do a room by room load calc, called a Manual J. We measure windows, check the attic insulation and look at which way the house faces. The estimator on this page gives you a starting point, and the load calc sets the final size.
Should I get a heat pump in Kansas City?
Many homes here do well with a heat pump paired with a gas furnace. The heat pump covers mild days and the furnace takes over when it drops below freezing. We will tell you if your house is a good fit or not.
How long does a replacement take?
Most furnace and AC swaps take one day. A switch to a heat pump or new ductwork can take two. We lay down floor covers, haul the old unit away and walk you through the new thermostat before we leave.
Are there rebates or tax credits?
Sometimes. Utility rebates and federal tax credits change by year, by model and by your home. We check what applies to your system at the visit and show it on your quote. We do not promise a rebate before we know.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We offer monthly payment plans on approved credit. We show the cash price and the monthly price side by side so you can pick what works.
