A Knoxville Lawn, Season by Season

Fescue here wants cool nights and a good fall. Bermuda wants heat. We time each job to what your grass is doing that month.

Tech pushing a fertilizer spreader under a blooming redbud in springFeb to May

    Feed and Weed

Pre emergent before the crabgrass wakes up, then feeding rounds as the redbuds bloom.

Crew member edging grass along a concrete drivewayMar to Nov

    Mow and Edge

Sharp blades, cut high in July heat, crisp lines on every walk and drive.

Core aerator pulling soil plugs from a lawn in early fallSep and Oct

    Aerate and Seed

Core aeration breaks up our red clay. Fescue gets overseeded right behind it.

Crew blowing autumn leaves onto a tarp in front of a porchNov and Dec

    Leaf Cleanup

Blown, tarped and hauled off, with beds and walks cleared too.

Crew unloading a mower from the trailer at the curb early in the morning

What Happens When We Pull Up

Same guys every Tuesday for two years. I get a photo when they leave and the stripes look like a ballpark.

    Kevin H. Farragut

The monthly price made it easy. They aerated and seeded in September and the thin spots under the oak finally filled in.

    Renee P. Sequoyah Hills

Rain pushed them a day and I got a text right away. They always latch the gate so the dog stays in.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. The plan runs month to month. You can pause or stop with one text. We ask for a week of notice so we can fix the route.

Why is the monthly price the same all year?

We add up the whole season and split it into 12 even payments. You pay the same in July, when we mow every week, as you do in January. If you would rather pay per visit, we can do that too.

What happens when it rains on my day?

We push the route by a day and text you the new time. We do not mow soaked grass because it tears the blades and ruts the yard.

When should I aerate a fescue lawn in Knoxville?

Early fall, from late August to early October. That is when fescue roots grow best and new seed takes. Bermuda and zoysia do better with aeration in early summer.

Is the fertilizer safe for kids and pets?

We use granular products and follow the label. Keep kids and pets off the lawn until it has been watered in or has dried. We leave a small flag and text you when we are done.
