My truck sat at the dealer 41 days its first year. Kate went through every slip with us and explained what each one meant.

Dana W. Greece

They told me straight that my car did not qualify yet and what to write down if it went back. It went back. They called me that same afternoon.

Luis R. Irondequoit

Tom sat at our kitchen table and walked us through the whole process. No bill for the visit and no pressure to sign.

Questions We Hear Every Week

What does it cost to hire you?

Nothing up front. When a New York lemon case is won, the court can order the maker to pay your lawyer fees. We explain our fee in writing before you sign anything.

Does my car have to be brand new?

No. The new car law covers the first 18,000 miles or two years. New York also has a used car lemon law for cars bought from a dealer with 100,000 miles or less. How long it lasts depends on the miles when you bought it.

What if the dealer says they found nothing wrong?

Ask for a repair order anyway, every single visit. A slip that says no problem found still proves you brought the car in for that problem on that date.

Do I keep making my payments?

Yes. Keep paying the loan or lease and keep the car insured. Stopping can hurt your credit and it can hurt your case.

Do leased cars and motorcycles count?

Leased cars count the same as bought ones. Motorcycles can qualify too. Motor homes have their own rules, so call and we will tell you where yours fits.
