What Borrowers Say

4.9 ★★★★★ from 131 Google reviews

Dana sat at our table and did the budget with a pencil. She talked us down from $8,000 to $5,500, and she was right.

Ellen P. Brewer

Met at the Orono library on my lunch break. Money for the furnace was in my account two days later.

Tyler B. Orono

They told me a credit counselor would help me more than a loan, and gave me a number to call. Nobody does that.

Questions We Get at the Table

Do I have to come to an office?

No. We have a small office on Exchange Street, but most people never see it. A loan officer meets you at your kitchen table, your work, or the library in your town. Phone and video work too.

What credit score do I need?

There is no single cutoff. We look at your income, your bills and your history together. A lower score usually means a higher rate or a smaller loan. Every loan is subject to credit approval.

What if the budget check says it is too tight?

Then we should talk about a smaller amount, a longer term, or not borrowing right now. If you are behind on several bills, a nonprofit credit counselor may help more than a loan, and we can give you names.

Are there fees?

Any fee is in the APR and on your loan papers before you sign. There is no penalty for paying the loan off early.

How fast can I get the money?

Most approved loans fund in one to three business days. If your car or furnace cannot wait, tell us, and we will say honestly how fast we can go.

Let's Look at It Together

Leave a first name and a number. A loan officer calls you back today or the next business morning.

Talk It Over With Us

Just a first name and a phone number. We will never ask for your Social Security number or bank details in a web form.
