Is gold a safe investment?
No investment is safe. Gold and silver prices go up and down, sometimes a lot in a short time. We do not give investment advice. If you want help deciding how much to buy, talk to a fee only financial planner.
What fees come with a gold IRA?
Three kinds. The custodian charges a setup fee and a yearly fee. The depository charges a yearly storage fee. On top of that is the dealer premium when you buy. Our cost check shows sample ranges for each one.
Can I keep my IRA gold at home?
No. IRS rules say metal in an IRA has to be held by an approved custodian at a depository. Anyone selling a home storage IRA is putting your account at risk.
What will you pay me if I sell?
We price off the live spot price and write the offer down before you decide. For common bullion it usually lands close to spot. Collector coins are priced one at a time.
Do I need an appointment?
Not for buying or selling at the counter. For IRA help, call first so we can set aside half an hour and have the custodian forms ready.
