What Can Move the Price After the Walkthrough

  • Long carry. The truck has to park more than 75 feet from your door.
  • Shuttle truck. A street too tight for a semi, common in older city blocks and mountain towns.
  • Stairs and elevators at either end.
  • Crates for glass, stone or art.

Federal rule. A mover that crosses state lines must have a USDOT number you can look up with FMCSA, and must give you a written estimate before the move. Ask if it is binding or not to exceed.

Where We Pick Up

St. Louis, Clayton, Kirkwood, Chesterfield, St. Charles, O'Fallon, Florissant, Webster Groves, and across the river in Belleville and Edwardsville. We deliver to all 48 lower states.

Kirkwood to Denver

Delivery window was four to seven days. The truck showed up on day five and the driver called the night before, just like they said.

Nicole R. Kirkwood
St. Charles to Phoenix

We had a gap of three weeks between houses. They stored everything in vaults and it came out exactly how it went in.

Dan P. St. Charles
Clayton to Atlanta

The final bill matched the written estimate to the dollar. After hearing horror stories from friends, that meant a lot.

Long Distance Questions

What is a binding estimate?

It is a written price that does not change unless you add items or services. A not to exceed estimate goes one step further. If your things weigh less than we guessed, you pay less, and if they weigh more, you still pay the written price.

Why is delivery a window and not a set day?

Long distance trucks often carry two or three homes going the same way. The window lets us plan a safe route and legal driving hours. Your driver calls you 24 hours before he arrives.

How do I check a mover's USDOT number?

Search the number on the FMCSA website. You should see the company name, that it is authorized for household goods, and its safety record. If a mover cannot give you a USDOT number, do not book them.

Can you store my things if my new place is not ready?

Yes. Your things go into sealed wooden vaults in our St. Louis warehouse or a partner warehouse near your new home. You call when you are ready, and we deliver within a week or so.

Do you move cars too?

We book car shipping through a partner carrier so it can arrive close to the same days as your household goods. Open trailers cost less, and closed trailers keep the car out of the weather.
