    Before You Call

How fast does mold start after water damage?

In Houston heat and humidity, mold can start in 24 to 48 hours. That is why the first day matters so much. Getting the water out and the air movers running fast is the best way to stop it.

Will my homeowners insurance pay for this?

It depends on your policy and where the water came from. Sudden leaks like a burst pipe are often covered. Rising flood water usually needs a separate flood policy. We document everything and can talk to your adjuster for you.

Do I have to call my insurance company before you come?

No. Most policies expect you to stop more damage right away. Call us, then call your insurer when you can. We take the photos and readings your adjuster will ask for.

    How long does drying take?

Most homes dry in three to five days. We check moisture every day and log the readings. We only pull the equipment when the walls and floors read dry, not on a set date.

Is it safe to stay in the house?

Often yes, if the water was clean and the power is safe. If it was sewage or flood water, or if there is a lot of it, we may ask you to stay somewhere else for a few days. We will tell you straight.
