When is the best time to replace a roof in Minnesota?
May through October is our main season. We can do asphalt into November if the days stay above about 40 degrees, because the shingles need warmth to seal. Metal can go on in colder weather.
Is metal loud when it rains?
Not on a house. We lay metal over solid decking and underlayment, with your attic insulation below. Most people say it sounds about like shingles.
Will you match the look of my older home?
That is most of our work. We bring real samples to your porch so you can see them next to your brick, stucco or siding. We also keep details like copper flashing and steep gables looking right.
What about ice dams?
Every roof we do gets ice and water shield along the eaves and in the valleys. We also look at attic vents, since warm attics are what cause most ice dams here.
Do you pull the city permit?
Yes. We pull the Minneapolis or suburb permit, schedule the inspection and hand you the final paperwork.
