How a Claim Usually Goes

  1. We check the roof and send you chalk marked photos.
  2. If there is real damage, you call your insurer and open a claim.
  3. An adjuster comes out. We can be there to show what we found.
  4. The insurer decides what is covered. You pay your deductible.

Every policy is different. Your insurer makes the call, not us, and we never tell you a claim will be approved.

They were on my roof two days after the May storm. Sent me 40 photos with chalk circles. The adjuster agreed with every one.

Dana W. Edmond

Water was dripping into the hallway at 10 at night. They had a tarp on before midnight.

Marcus T. Moore

Told me my roof was fine and not worth a claim. That honesty is why they got the job two years later.

Storm Questions We Get Every Spring

Will filing a hail claim raise my rates?

It can, and it depends on your insurer. Hail is usually treated as an act of nature, not as your fault. Your agent is the right person to ask before you file. We will tell you honestly if the damage looks too small to be worth a claim.

How long do I have to file after a storm?

Many Oklahoma policies give you about a year from the storm date. Some give less. Check your policy or call your agent. It is best to get the roof looked at within a few weeks, while the damage is fresh and easy to show.

Do you charge for a storm inspection?

No. We get on the roof, mark the hits in chalk and send you the photos. You decide what to do with them.

Can you tarp my roof tonight?

If water is coming in, call us. We keep a crew on tarp duty after big storms and most leaks get covered the same day or the next morning.

What is a wind and hail deductible?

Many Oklahoma policies have a separate deductible for wind and hail. It is often a percent of your home's insured value instead of a flat amount. On a $250,000 home, 1 percent is $2,500. Your declarations page shows yours.
