- Promo price
- The lower price for the first months, most often 12. Ask what it becomes and in which month.
- Agreement
- Most deals ask for 24 months. Some choices have none, and usually cost more each month.
- Equipment
- Extra receivers, DVR service and leased modems each add a monthly charge.
- Leaving early
- A fee for each month left on the agreement. It shrinks the longer you stay.
- Extra charges
- Taxes and a on some TV packages. They are not in the ad price.

Questions We Hear at the Counter
What happens to my price after 12 months?
Most TV and internet deals start with a lower price for the first 12 months. In month 13 the regular price starts, and the jump is often $30 or more a month. We write both numbers on your order before you sign.
Can a dish work in a hollow with tall trees?
Often, yes. A TV dish needs a clear line to one spot in the southern sky. We walk the yard with a meter first. If the roof is shaded we look at a pole on the ridge side or trimming one limb. If nothing works, we tell you before any work starts.
What does it cost to break the agreement early?
On most 24 month agreements you pay a fee for each month left. On our sample TV plan it is $20 a month, so leaving at month 18 costs $120. Moving somewhere the service does not reach may change that, so ask before you cancel.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Some choices have no agreement at all. You usually pay the regular price from day one, or buy the equipment up front. The timeline above shows both ways side by side.
Who do I call if the signal goes out?
Call us first. Heavy rain or snow can drop a signal for a few minutes, and that clears on its own. If it lasts, we come look at the dish. Account and billing questions go to the provider, and we can sit with you while you call.
