My mother was sleeping on the couch because of the stairs. Now she goes up to her own bed every night.

    Diane K. Bethlehem

We rented one for four months after Dad's knee surgery. They took it out the week we called.

    Mark S. Emmaus

They were patient with all my questions and never pushed. The install took one afternoon.

    Questions Families Ask

How fast can a stairlift go in?

A straight stairlift can often go in within a few days of the home visit, and the install takes two to four hours. A curved rail is built to fit your stairs, so it takes four to six weeks to make.

Can I rent a stairlift instead of buying?

Yes, for straight stairs. You pay a set up fee and a monthly rent, and we take it out when you no longer need it. Curved rails are made for one staircase, so we sell those instead of renting them.

Does Medicare pay for a stairlift?

No. Medicare does not count a stairlift as medical equipment. Some Pennsylvania aging programs and VA benefits may help with the cost. We can tell you where to ask.

Will it damage my stairs or wall?

The rail bolts to the stair treads, not the wall. If it ever comes out, you are left with a few small screw holes that a carpet or wood filler covers.

What if the power goes out?

Every stairlift we put in runs on batteries that charge while it is parked. It keeps working for many trips up and down during an outage.
