Three Kinds of Care, One Team

Your therapist and your psychiatric clinician talk to each other, with your OK, so you never have to repeat yourself.

  • TherapyAnxiety, low mood, stress, grief

Weekly or every other week. Most people start with talk therapy like CBT. You meet the same person every time.

A Two Minute Check In

Four questions from the PHQ-2 and GAD-2, short screens many doctors use. It is not a diagnosis. It helps you decide if now is a good time to talk to someone.

Over the last 2 weeks, how often have you been bothered by the following?
0 of 4 answered
Mood, question 1Little interest or pleasure in doing things
Mood, question 2Feeling down, depressed or hopeless
Worry, question 3Feeling nervous, anxious or on edge
Worry, question 4Not being able to stop or control worrying

Your Scores Show Here

Mood, PHQ-20 of 6
Worry, GAD-20 of 6

Answer all four questions to see what your scores mean. Nothing you tap here is saved or sent.

Scores of 3 or more on either pair are a common sign to look closer. Lower scores can still be worth a talk if something feels off.

If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, please do not wait for a visit. Call or text 988 any time, or call 911.

This is a screening, not a diagnosis. Only a licensed clinician can diagnose. PHQ-2 and GAD-2 were made by Drs. Spitzer, Williams, Kroenke and colleagues.

I do my sessions in my car on my lunch break. Nobody at work knows, and I never miss a week.

Jess P. South Portland

The free call helped me figure out if I wanted therapy or a med check. They did not push either one.

Owen T. Westbrook

Evening times are the only reason this works for me with two kids. The portal replies came the next morning.

Good Questions to Ask First

Clients see us by video from Portland, South Portland, Westbrook, Falmouth, Cape Elizabeth, Scarborough, Yarmouth, Brunswick, Lewiston, Augusta, Bangor and the rest of Maine.

Is a video visit private?

Yes. We use a private, HIPAA compliant video link, not a social app. Pick a spot where you will not be overheard. Many people use a parked car or a closed room at home.

Can your psychiatric clinicians prescribe medicine?

Yes. Our psychiatric nurse practitioners can prescribe many common medicines after a full evaluation, and they send them to your local pharmacy. Some controlled medicines need an in person visit first under federal rules.

Do I need to live in Maine?

You need to be in Maine or New Hampshire at the time of each visit, because that is where our clinicians are licensed. If you travel, tell us and we will plan around it.

What does the check in on this page tell me?

It uses the PHQ-2 and GAD-2, two short screening tools doctors use. A higher score means it is worth a closer look, not that something is wrong. Only a clinician can make a diagnosis.

What if I need help between visits?

You can message your clinician in the portal, and we reply within one business day. For anything urgent, call or text 988 any time, or call 911 in an emergency.
