Do I need a permit to cut down a tree in Portland?
Often yes. Portland requires permits for many trees, based on size, species and where the tree stands. We check the rules for your lot and file the permit as part of the job.
When is the best time to prune trees?
Late winter is best for most trees here, while they are dormant. Dead or hanging limbs should come down any time of year.
Will you damage my lawn?
We lay down plywood mats for heavy gear and lower big wood with ropes instead of dropping it. Then we rake and blow the whole yard before we leave.
What happens to the wood?
We haul it all away unless you want to keep it. Plenty of people keep rounds for firewood, and we can stack them where you like.
