From Pet Families
Our lab bloated at 1 in the morning. They took him straight back and the vet called me every hour. He came home three days later.
Kevin H. Jeffersontown
They told me the price range before anything happened. No surprises, and they were gentle with my old cat.
Tara W. New Albany IN
The wait board on their site was right. We waited about 40 minutes and a nurse checked on us twice.

Questions at 2 AM
Do I need an appointment?
No. We are open 24 hours a day, every day, and we see pets in order of how sick they are, not who came first. Calling on the way helps us get ready for you.
Why did a pet who came in after us get seen first?
A nurse checks every pet when they arrive. Pets who cannot breathe, are bleeding badly or have collapsed go straight back. We know waiting is hard, and we will check on your pet while you wait.
How much does an emergency visit cost?
The exam fee is posted at the front desk and on the phone. Before any tests or treatment, the vet gives you a written estimate with a low and high number, and nothing starts until you say yes.
My dog ate chocolate. What should I do?
Use the calculator on this page for a rough risk level, then call us or an animal poison control line. Have the wrapper ready. Do not try to make your dog throw up at home unless a vet tells you to.
Will you send records to my regular vet?
Yes. We send notes, lab work and x rays to your regular vet the same day, so they can take over care in the morning.
On Your Way? Call Us.
Tell us what happened and how far out you are. We will have a nurse at the door.
