What Neighbors Say
Eleven windows in one day, in February. The crew hung plastic in each room and the house never got cold. The upstairs bedroom is finally usable in winter.
Karen T. Middleton
They kept our 1920s oak trim and you honestly cannot tell the windows are new from inside. Price matched the quote to the dollar.
Dave R. Monona
Went triple pane on the side facing Mineral Point Road. The traffic noise is mostly gone and no more frost on the inside of the glass.

Questions We Get at the Door
Can you put new windows in during a Madison winter?
Yes. We swap one opening at a time, so each hole is open for about twenty minutes. We hang a plastic sheet inside the room while we work and keep the heat on. Most winter jobs feel no colder than a long day of the front door opening and closing.
Is triple pane worth it here?
For bedrooms and rooms you sit in near the glass, often yes. The inside pane stays warmer on a zero degree night, so the draft you feel by the window mostly goes away. For a garage or a stairwell, double pane with low E is plenty.
Do you keep my wood trim inside?
On most insert jobs, yes. We take out the old sashes, leave the frame and the inside trim in place, and set the new window into the old frame. If the frame is rotted we tell you before we start and show you the soft spots.
How long from order to install?
Vinyl windows usually arrive in four to six weeks. Fiberglass and wood clad take six to ten. We measure once, order, and give you the install date as soon as the factory gives us a ship date.
What does the free visit cost me in time?
About an hour. We measure every opening, look at the frames, and leave a written price for each window. Nothing is ordered until you say yes, and there is no charge to talk.
Cold Spot by the Window?
Call and we will set up a free measure, usually within the week.
