Your Phone Bill, Line by Line

We sit down with your bill in Fargo and Moorhead and mark what each line costs. Then you decide what to change.

Where Does the Money Go?

Copy the totals from your last bill. We split it into what each line really costs and mark the charges we see people drop most often.

    Worth a Look

Sample numbers for this demo, not offers. Plan prices vary by network, address and credit. Dropping a line that still has a phone payment can bring the rest of that balance due. We check your real bill before you change anything.

Insurance or a protection plan on a phone. It covers loss and breaks, with a deductible when you claim. On an older phone it can cost more over a year than the phone is worth.

      Switching Without Surprises

Sometimes the answer is to stay and trim. When a switch does make sense, these are the four things we check first.

      Phone balances
Most phone payment plans run 24 to 36 months. Leave early and the rest usually comes due.
      Monthly credits
Promo credits on a phone often stop the day the line leaves. We add that to the math.
      Activation and fees
New lines can carry an activation fee, around $35 a line in our samples. We show it before you sign.
      Coverage at your place
A map is not a basement or a farmyard. We test signal where you actually use your phone.

      Out Past the Last Exit

Signal changes fast once you leave town. For farms and lake places we check each network at the spot, not on a map.

He found a line for my late husband's phone I had been paying on for two years. Kind about it, too.

      Judy L. Moorhead

Told us to stay with our network and just drop two add ons. Did not try to sell us a thing.

      Aaron T. West Fargo

Set up phones for my whole crew at the shop on a Saturday. Every number moved over the same day.

      Questions People Ask

Do you have a store I can walk into?

No. We come to you. Most checkups happen at a kitchen table, a shop office or a coffee shop downtown. It takes about 45 minutes, and the checkup itself is free.

      What should I bring?

Your last full bill, printed or on your phone, and every phone on the account. If a phone is still being paid off, the bill shows how much is left. We need that before anyone talks about switching.

What happens if I switch while a phone is still being paid off?

Most phone payment plans run 24 to 36 months. If you leave early, the rest of the balance usually comes due, and any monthly credits on that phone stop. Sometimes it still makes sense to switch. We do the math with you first.

      How do you get paid?

We are an authorized retailer for several networks and get paid when we set up a new line or plan. If the best move is to stay where you are and trim a few things, we tell you that, and it costs you nothing.

Will I keep my phone number?

Yes. Moving a number to a new network is called porting, and it usually takes under an hour. Do not cancel your old service first. The port closes the old line for you.
