Car Won't Start? I'll Come Find Out Why

Dead in the driveway or the work lot. I test the battery, cables, starter and charging system right there.

Quick Answer

Dead in the driveway or the work lot. I test the battery, cables, starter and charging system right there. The diagnostic is $125 and half of it comes off if I do the repair.

Testing Beats Guessing

A meter and a load test tell me the battery's real health in minutes. From there I check cables, grounds, the starter and fuel and spark if it cranks but won't run.

Cranks but Won't Start

That's a different problem. It points to fuel, spark or a sensor. It is still a driveway job most of the time, and the $125 diagnostic finds it.

At Home or at Work

Car won't start after your shift? Text me the lot address. Park it and I'll come to it.

Questions

No Start and Battery Testing Questions

Do you just jump cars?

I focus on finding why it died so it doesn't happen again. Call and tell me what it's doing and we'll go from there.

Can corrosion really stop a car from starting?

Yes. Heavy corrosion on the terminals can block current. Cleaning and tightening them sometimes fixes it.

How much is the diagnostic?

The diagnostic is $125. I come to you, find what is wrong, and tell you what it needs before any work starts.

Does the diagnostic fee go toward the repair?

Yes. If you have me do the repair, half the diagnostic fee goes toward it. That is $62.50 off your bill.
