Starter and Alternator Repair Wherever It Died

Clicks but won't crank? Battery light on? I test the starter and charging system on site and replace what failed.

Quick Answer

Clicks but won't crank? Battery light on? I test the starter and charging system on site and replace what failed. The diagnostic is $125 and half of it comes off if I do the repair.

Starter or Alternator or Battery

These three get blamed for each other all the time. A weak battery can make a good starter click. A bad alternator can kill a new battery. I test all three so you only replace the one that's bad.

No Tow Needed

A car that won't start is the exact reason to call a mobile mechanic. I come to the driveway, the lot or the street where it's sitting and fix it there.

What You'll Get

A clear answer on which part failed, a price for the part and labor, and a car that starts before I leave.

Questions

Starter and Alternator Repair Questions

Can you replace a starter in a parking lot?

In most cases, yes. As long as the car can be safely raised, I can do it where it sits.

Why does my new battery keep dying?

Often it is the alternator not charging or something drawing power with the car off. I test for both.

How much is the diagnostic?

The diagnostic is $125. I come to you, find what is wrong, and tell you what it needs before any work starts.

Does the diagnostic fee go toward the repair?

Yes. If you have me do the repair, half the diagnostic fee goes toward it. That is $62.50 off your bill.
