Who I Am and What EHR1 Does
Hi, I'm Ross Seymour. I am the founder of EHR1. We make practice management software for doctors and dentists who serve Medicare and Medicaid patients. It is low cost, it meets the compliance rules, and it saves a practice time and money.
I have worked with Anthony Limpert and Clickflame since 2012. This is the story of those years. The big runs, the quiet stretch, and why we are both pushing hard again.
Why I Built EHR1
It started with a grant. I found money that could help doctors upgrade the technology in their offices. It was meant for practices that serve Medicare and Medicaid patients.
Then I looked for software those offices could spend it on. I couldn't find it. Nothing on the market was built around their compliance rules and also gave them good tools to run the practice.
So we built it. Getting certified was the hardest part. We went through the Office of the National Coordinator, the ONC, which sets the rules for certified health software. It took two full years.
We built EHR1 compliance first. A lot of platforms bolt compliance on later as an add on. Ours had it from day one.
How Clickflame Came In
Anthony and I started out as neighbors. Our offices were next door to each other in Tustin, and EHR1 had a call center there back then. We met in 2012. Over the years his team built and tuned three websites for us, including EHR1.com and iHealthOne.com.
They did the SEO, the email and ad marketing, call center support and keyword research. Anthony checked in often. He told me what his team was working on and what he would do next.
The Big Year: 2020
In 2020 alone, we onboarded 3,257 dental practices from Clickflame's digital marketing. That is our own count.
Those runs came from the SEO, email and ad campaigns Clickflame ran for us. They moved real offices onto EHR1.
That is the part I am proudest of. We took practices that still ran on paper charts and made them fully electronic. They got e-prescribing, charting and a patient portal, with very little tech work on their end.
Then We Paused
Then COVID hit, and like a lot of businesses, we paused the campaigns.
Anthony and I stayed in touch through the quiet years. When we were both ready, we picked it right back up.
Back and Pushing: What We Built This Fall
In September 2026 we started again, and it moved fast. This is what Clickflame has built with us since then.
A Free Dental Office Directory
Clickflame built Free Dentist Office at freedentaloffice.com. It is a free list of dental offices for people who need low cost care. Nobody pays to use it and nobody pays to be on it.
It started with 18,460 California offices that take Denti-Cal, each with a phone number on its page. It has pages in 19 languages and a section for 1,693 safety net clinics that see people with no coverage at all.
Then it went national. It now lists 164,748 dental offices in all 50 states and DC, with federally funded health centers shown first.
These offices already take public insurance. That is exactly who EHR1 serves. A call from this site is a warm call, not a cold one.
Calls That Ring Straight Through
The directory has its own phone line that rings straight to us. Since October 8, the site counts every call tap and every form. We can see which pages bring in offices.
Google Showed Up Fast
Google started showing the site in mid September. When traffic dipped in October, Anthony's team caught it and fixed it.
New EHR1 and iHealthOne Sites
Clickflame rebuilt both of our main sites. The new EHR1 site has a pricing page, a Compliance Package page and The Plan, a two minute video with a PDF.
iHealthOne is now a blog for practice owners. It opened with 10 plain English guides on things like HIPAA risk analysis, Medicaid revalidation and OIG exclusion checks.
Both are now live on our own domains.
Leads Into Our Zoho
We are connecting all of this to our Zoho CRM. We start with call records. Form leads and opt outs come next, and the opt out sync goes live before any text goes out.
Patient Guides and a Podcast
Free Dentist Office now has plain guides for patients, and some carry my name. I was also a guest on Clickflame's podcast, Smoke and Receipts, in Episode 16 on October 13, 2026.
What I Would Tell Another Owner
I tell doctors to ask one thing before they pick any software. Who is behind it, and what are their goals? I would ask the same thing about a marketing partner.
And if you are starting a business like mine, get ready. It is going to be tough, long and hard.
What's Next
At EHR1 we are rolling out new AI tools for doctors, like transcription, to make running a practice easier and more profitable.
With Clickflame, the next step is to turn directory visits into offices that call us. Together since 2012, and now we are both back and pushing.
