The Setup
ABC Lock and Safe has been working in Portland since 1985. Forty plus years of locksmithing, safe cracking, real estate work, banking work, and the kind of 24/7 emergency calls that don't care that it's 3am on a holiday. The shop sits in Northeast Portland, just south of PDX.
The challenge wasn't reputation. They had that. The challenge was that the old web presence didn't communicate four decades of expertise. The competition online was the usual mix of out of state lead aggregators, drill first operators, and chain franchises with corporate playbooks. None of them have been in Portland since 1985. The website needed to make that obvious.
The brief was to build something fast, beautiful, and trustworthy. We wanted a site that reads the way Portland locals talk, signals legitimate licensing immediately, and ranks across the whole metro plus Vancouver, WA.
The Two Sites You Should Actually Look At
The Strategy
The competition in Portland locksmith search is mostly bad. Aggregators don't have offices in Portland. Chains drill first and ask questions later. Background checked, properly trained, licensed since Reagan locksmiths are rare, and we built the site to make that rarity obvious.

This is where the moat is. Most locksmith shops in any market can do home and car lockouts. The shops that can actually crack a safe are rare. That means retrieving a combination, opening a fire rated unit, repairing a damaged dial, or moving a 600 pound unit across an office. ABC has been doing it since 1985. We built that into its own vertical page, with the specific work types, the size limits, and the after hours availability that the people actually searching for "safe cracking Portland" need to see before they call.
