RV Shop Desk is live. It is software, a website and marketing for RV businesses, and it is our project. Clickflame is one of the cooperative partners behind it. This post explains what it is, why we think a niche like RV rentals needs the marketing and the operations software sold together, and what we built into it from the agency side.
What RV Shop Desk Is
RV Shop Desk is an RV branded product produced by YourShopDesk.com. It is built for the people who actually run RV businesses. That means single owners who rent out their own RV, rental fleets, RV dealerships, RV repair companies and mobile RV techs.
It runs in the browser. There is no app to install, and you sign in at app.rvdesk.com. It is month to month.

Why the Marketing Belongs in the Software
We spend our days building and ranking websites for local service businesses. The pattern we see in small niches is always the same. The owner buys booking software from one company, a website from another, and maybe pays someone a third bill to look after the Google profile. None of those pieces talk to each other, and the gaps between them are where the money leaks out.
An RV rental business is a good example. A renter finds you on Google, looks at your website, calls or books, picks up the RV, brings it back, and then either leaves a review or does not. Every one of those steps is either marketing or operations, and the line between them is thin.
- The website is only useful if it shows real availability and takes a real booking.
- The Google Business Profile is only useful if it is kept current and collects reviews.
- Reviews only come in if somebody asks, and the best time to ask is right after the trip ends, which the booking software already knows.
- A missed call is a lost booking unless something answers it fast.
When the marketing lives inside the software that runs the trips, those steps connect on their own. The trip ends, the review request goes out. The call is missed, a text goes back. We have written before about how a site can rank and still never ring, and most of the reasons on that list are exactly these gaps.
A small niche business does not need three vendors. It needs one system where the website, the Google profile, the reviews and the call back all run off the same bookings.
What We Built Into It
The rental fleet desk covers the whole trip, from the first search to the final invoice.
On the marketing side, which is the part Clickflame cares about most, it includes the following.
- A website built and hosted for you. See website and marketing for the details.
- A managed Google Business Profile. If you have never set one up properly, our guide on claiming your Google Business Profile explains why it matters so much for local search.
- Review requests sent after each trip.
- A network listing.
- Missed call text back, so a call nobody could pick up still gets an answer. Texting is billed by use, and the texting page explains how.
On the operations side, it includes the following.
- Bookings and a calendar.
- Rental agreements signed on the renter's phone.
- Walk around photos at pickup and return.
- Turnovers.
- Damage billed from the photos.
- Invoices and card payments.
The full feature list is on the RV rental software page. Accounting and payroll are built in as well. If you already use an outside accounting or payroll system, connecting it is a one time $89 setup. The accounting and payroll page covers it.
None of this is new thinking for us. It is the same approach we take with every service business website we build, and the same order of work laid out in the service business website guide. The difference is that here it is wired into the software, so it keeps running without anyone remembering to do it.

Where to Start
If you are thinking about renting out an RV, or you already do and want to grow it, the RV Shop Desk blog has two guides worth reading first.
There is more on the RV Shop Desk blog, and you can see everything at rvdesk.com. If you run a service business outside the RV world and want the same kind of website and marketing, that is still what Clickflame does every day. Our services page is the place to start.
