Where It All Started
Molly's Sugar Shack was the first website we ever built. Back then there were six of us in a small office in Westminster, California. Molly had a sugaring studio in Pacific Beach, and she needed a website. So we built her one.
Molly opened in 2006. The oldest copy of her site in the Internet Archive has a first post dated December 1, 2010. It is a plain WordPress page with a beach photo across the top and four links. Home, About, Alexandria Sugaring and Price List. The post is called Get Sugared, and it gives her address and her phone number.
Same Door, Same Phone
The address on that first page is 975 Hornblend St, Suite A. The phone is 858.531.5331. Both are the same today. That matters more than most owners know. Google trusts a business that shows the same name, address and phone everywhere, for years. Molly never moved and never changed her number, so every listing and every review kept pointing at the same door.
She also kept doing the work. Molly is trained in Alexandria Professional sugaring, and her Google profile sits at 4.9 stars from 93 reviews. People do not leave that many good reviews for a studio that cuts corners.
Why We Rebuilt It
The site got old, and it was not built for San Diego. It was a WordPress theme from years ago, and most of it talked to people who already knew where Pacific Beach was.
The words were the problem. Her pages talked about Pacific Beach, and Pacific Beach sugaring gets about 10 searches a month. San Diego gets far more. Sugaring san diego gets about 170 a month. Sugaring near me and brazilian wax san diego get about 260 each. Those numbers are from DataForSEO for San Diego, October 2026.
What We Changed
We rebuilt the whole site in October 2026, page by page. We kept her look, her photos and her voice. We changed what Google reads.
- Every title now leads with San Diego, and every page still names her studio in Pacific Beach.
- A full Services and Prices page with her starting prices from her booking page, so people see the price before they call.
- New pages for Brazilian sugaring, men's sugaring and face sugaring.
- A How To Check Us page with her California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology license, number 259488.
- Clean titles, descriptions and schema on every page, checked with our own Rank Any Site plugin. Her score went from 70 to 100.
Days Later
Search Pacific Beach sugaring on Google and Molly is first. She is first on the map and first in the websites under it. That holds on a phone that is not signed in to Google, so it is what a new customer sees.
San Diego is moving too. Her Search Console shows the real searches people did. For sugaring san diego her average spot was 8. For brazilian wax san diego it was 8, and for sugar waxing san diego 9.8. All three are page one. For searches like sugar waxing near me, brazilian wax near me and sugaring places near me, her average spot was 1.
When Anthony searched sugaring san diego on his phone on October 21, her site was the first website under the map. Results change from phone to phone, so we count the Search Console numbers as the receipts.
The San Diego map is next. A lot of calls come straight from the three businesses Google shows there, and Molly is not in those three yet. With 4.9 stars and twenty years on Hornblend Street, she has what it takes to get there.
Why This One Means So Much
Every agency has a first client. Most never get to go back. We got to rebuild our very first website with everything we learned since Westminster, and then watch it climb to the top. Our home office is in Long Beach now. This one started with six of us and one sugaring studio by the beach.
